TCAF!!
Hey guys and gals! I'll be at TCAF this year, sharing a table with the stinky ole Vicki Nerino. I'll have a couple minis, nothing really new, but I'll also have MY FIRST BOOK! Which I'll be signing and stuff.

Old Riddles
First off, I must say I was overwhelmed by the positive response I received for my unused Businessweek cover! Thank you to everyone who commented, or sent me a message, or tweeted about it, etc.
I've been working non-stop lately, and I must also apologize to my friends and relatives for how cloistered I've been lately. For months really. I'm considering cutting hours at my part-time job to ease my stress levels a bit. But, of course, that could possibly aggravate the financial stress I already deal with. SIGH. Not to mention, if I lower my hours, I'll lose my health insurance. It's not a lot, but it's nothing to sneeze at. Difficult decisions lie ahead for me.
NEWS:
Conundrum has sent me copies of my book! Although I'm still angry at it, it does feel very good to hold it in my hands.

Currently I'm back to work on my annual gig for U of T press.

I haven't been very good at posting, but if you follow me on instagram (username: britterson) I do post tidbits there at least every couple days.
I'll be at TCAF May 5-6th, hocking my book, two minis (The Pretty Ridiculous Adventures of A.Zimerman/Buttsex), and maybe a few other goodies, if I manage to find time to make them. At the very least I usually bring cupcakes or cookies to bribe potential customers with.

TCAF REPORT AND VIKINGS AND MOUSE.
Well guys, it's about time I tell you about TCAF (aka the best comics fest ever) (I am told, as I don't go to many).
I took one photo the entire time, here it is:

I think Dustin Harbin is doing something really mean and nasty and/or disgusting to Kate Beaton. And yes. Dustin is wearing a shirt with his own face on it. He is THAT guy.
TCAF was great. I got drunk a lot, except for one night when everyone else went Karaoke-ing and I stayed in to finish THESE:

They are a promo for a Viking Reader being published by the Univerity of Toronto Press. They asked for "cute" to offset the violence. I'm pretty sure I got it.
In other news, we caught a mouse in our stove! Well, we didn't like, catch him in our hands, I mean more like we caught him red handed. In the cookie jar, so to speak...except it was the stove. There was defecation involved, OURS OR HIS? you will never know. THE RESULT:

I cleaned all the pots and pans that were stored under the stove in the bathtub, while Vicki sees the mouse and shrieks like a girl.

She is mad because I told you she shrieked like a girl. Did I mention she did it twice?

We pulled apart the kitchen. It is only now (two days later) almost all back together. We are too afraid to clean behind the stove, BUT IT MUST BE DONE.
Thanks for reading and God Bless.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, GOD BLESS? Who the fuck am I kidding, screw you God (at least 20 of my followers just unfollowed) (who needs you).

It's about time I stopped by/TCAF 2010
Hello hello my little sheepies!
I'm sorry for how stagnant the pool that is my blog (haha, blog...stagnant....b[l]og BOG get it? hhahahehehahehhehhhghhehhee) has gotten lately. I'm very busy with freelance and a day job, and I'm still learning how to handle it, and properly manage my time. Mainly I'm popping in just to remind y'all to stop by the Toronto Reference Library THIS WEEKEND for TCAF (Toronto Comic Arts Festival) and creep around my table touching your sweaty fingertips to the crisp white paper that makes up my handcrafted mini-comics! Oh, and of course those of my roommate and associate and co-conspirator and platonic life-partner Vicki Nerino
Phil McAndrew and Ryan Pequasteroid will be bunking with us. I guess that means I should take that dirty pair of underpants that's hanging off the corner of the mantle and put them in the laundry basket...
Here are some pictures for you, because in all seriousness, I'm well aware you just scroll down to look at all the pretty shapes and colours and then move on to the next blog. It's okay, I do that to all of yours.
The cover of a new comic debuting at TCAF! A collection of the weekly comics Vicki and I have been doing over HERE

Here is a pile of a few other things that will be adorning our table, Pig boy the paper doll is guarding it against thieves:

A sneak peek of some freelance work I've been doing that I probably shouldn't be showing you, shhhh.

Kate Beaton interrupted this inking session with a "hey, beer?" and I said YES AUUUGH and ran out of my house.

Also, this happened today, and I ate some of it.
