Medieval FUN with the University of Toronto Press!

Hey Guys! I'll have a post soon for you about TCAF. I didn't take any photos while I was there, somehow there just never seems time... But I'll still have a nice summarizing post for y'all.

In the MEAN TIME, right before TCAF every year, I do a lil' thing for U of T press. Usually it's Viking related, but this year, it was Medieval Arms and Armor, in promotion of THIS BOOK. This time, instead of comics, we created some activity sheets with fun facts and things to do on them! I worked in a slightly new method, and I'm really happy with the results!

Click on this guy to go to the flickr page, where you can see a much larger version and read all the type and stuff.

Same dilio here.

And here are the sketches I sent off to the AD (and Marketing Manager & Publisher’s Representative), Anna Del Col (who is super effing awesome, btw).

And one that, due to time constraints, got nixed (by me).

Thanks for lookin' dudes! I haven't heard back, yet, but hopefully they went over well at the conference, and everyone had fun doing the activities!

FREE ACTIVITY FOR YOU.

I hope you like my gift! Have fun, suckers, it's probably very easy.

If you're too lazy to print it out, this lil' dude will be making an appearance at TCAF in the form of a pamphlet thing of some kind handed out by Conundrum Press.

In more happy news, THE BOOK IS DONE! I'm very excited, the book is being sent off to the printers very soon, and I just can't wait to see what it looks like all put together. I learned so much making this book, mostly concerning organization and work ethic, and prioritizing projects. I'm trying to take a bit of a breather after working 16-19 hours a day for a month, but I'm still too busy to do TOO much sitting around.

This here is a picture of something I'm working on right now for some friends. I have a lot of gift giving to catch up on for all the birthdays and weddings I missed while working on the book.
