A little bit of that thing called "Life"

I haven't updated in a while, and I apologize. The summer weather has stolen my desire to work, and my early morning part-time job is stealing my will to be awake. Ever. June was a month that just seemed to flash by for me, but with some good things happening despite my general listlessness.

There was a big get together comic jam at the Martzibald's to celebrate the completion of the next Team Society League book. I baked special Georges themed cookies. This was the first time I have ever attempted to top cookies with royal icing. Unfortunately for Georges he was a bit of an experiment and suffered things like leakages, bubbles, and general ugliness. Overall though, they still looked pretty darn cute, and tasted delish.

It was my father's birthday on the 12th, and also Father's Day on the 18th. To celebrate I did what my dad has been asking me to do for a little while: a drawing of him. But I put that drawing on a cookie. Then my brother (Bren Wilson) and I teamed up to make a recipe card. He is a pretty awesome photographer.

I'm pretty sure he liked them.

Bren also shot my engagement ring the same day. He's our engagement photographer, with his roommate (also an amazing photographer) taking over for the actual wedding.

Well, that's all for now! I should get my ass back to work before someone yells at me! (I'm sitting alone in my apartment, and there is no one to yell at me ever. Someone please yell at me.)
